Please explain the SATS results and grading for class 5 and predicted marks for class 6?

We are meeting with DS class teacher this afternoon and we want to make sure we know what results mean.

He did VOLUNTARY SATS TESTS for class 5

We want to know what his PREDICTED/EXPECTED RESULTS for class 6 are

Please put it in simple language for me please.

{I am sure it is different from class 2 ones.}

.

the teachers assessments give 4c, 4b,4a etc c means just in level 4 b means well in and a is at the top of level 4 and beginning to edge into 5c, and is obtained from lots of pieces of work over the year
the tests just give a level say 4 or 5 and some schools will tell you the actual test score

the year 5 results aren't a prediction for year 6 results they are where the child is at the moment but on average a child moves up two subunits a year ie 4c to 4a so if they do this they are working as expected.

The level 6 would be a teachers assessment, most don't bother but are sometimes done on discussion between parent and teacher
