Good literacy web sites

Does anyone know any good literacy websites suitable for a 9 year old (year5) DS does maths whizz, but I and struggling to fins anything similar for Enlish

My DS, also yr 5 goes on the Woodlands school site (kent). Also Education City and Gridclub.
