Does anybody know if and where there will be a bulge/extra class in reigate area for Sept 2011 intake?

I don't know about Sept 2011, but Holmesdale have the 'bulge' class again for Sept 2010 and Wray Common had Sept 2009 - so I would think you could safely assume they won't be hosting the 'bulge' again until those temp classrooms are free. The Parish hasn't had a 'bulge' class yet - but I'm not sure if they have the space/capacity for an extra class. Sandcross (south of the town) probably has capacity for another class.

Sorry to not be much help - it's really hard to second guess what the LA will do next. What's really needed is a new 2-form entry school in the area to cope with the increase in numbers - but that doesn't seem likely in the short-mid term.

Everywhere's running out of space for any more 'bulges'. Sandcross is now 2 form entry infants and 4 form entry juniors for this year and 2010. Whether that trend will continue depends, I think, on new buildings, as space everywhere is a massive issue. They can't take more classes unless the council provides the space for them! This goes for all schools - everywhere is pushed for room, particularly as everywhere also needs room for special needs groups, more able groups, music lessons, etc. Don't know if they'll look at Redhill/Merstham schools to take any overflow as cath is right - the other schools have to wait for the bulge years to move on and free up the spare classroom.
