AIBU?

AIBU to think this is quite a lazy homework for a yr7 humanities teacher to set? They were told to 'play the game 3 times'.

Especially as my DSDs haven't even studied Mesoamerica in class at all?

weird !

What, me or the homework?!

the homework - seems a bit anti teacher as well.

It's a drop in the ocean TBH. All their maths hw is done online, marked automatically (all the teacher knows is what % they got). They don't seem to be learning anything!

If DSD was my own daughter, DH and I would be HEing her.

i can see it would be a fun revision activity if they HAD been studying incas, aztecs, mayans etc...

but if they haven't studied them then it's just going to be pointless guesswork

MathsMadMummy · 27/02/2010 14:00

indeed.

we found out a few things - and at least I got to help DSD improve her web-research skills, though I much prefer those paper thingies... oh yeah, books!

but you're right fluffles, if an unenthusiastic child was playing the game without supervision they would possibly learn bog all.
