I've just been reading back issues of the Idler, and came across this article, which is pretty much reproduced online as this

What do you all think? I agree entirely with it. The Idler does tend to be slightly impractical in their ideas, but this, to me, is a brilliant article.

Get on to website, under search function look for Education Robinson.....up will pop a talk by v famous educationalist called Robinson who asks us to question the way we educate children and how schools kill creativity. Really thought provoking.

BUMP!!! More people should read this.

That's a great article. Many parallels with 'unschooling', a type of home ed that is entirely child-led, for the reasons the article suggested.

The speech by Ken Robinson was good too. Thanks for the links!
