Have just found an exchange and providing things go to plan, will hopefully move within the next 6mths.

I have two children in primary school and one in secondary school and all will have to move. If places are not available straight away then I could still get them to their current schools for a while.

I really don't know how this works though. There are 2 primary schools to choose from and one secondary school.

How far in advance do you contact them ? I'd not want a place until we were actually moved really.

I would contact all the schools now, so that you can find out which ones you like, and also if there are any spaces in the relevant year.

I would look to move your children for the start of the school year. I just think its easier for children to start then rather than half way through the school year. Although accept this is not always possible. But I'm presuming if you could get them back for a while, you could take for a while, if moving in by October.
