Would greatly appreciate any info about Wellington School. Do you and your DC like the school, how is the balance of academic versus pastoral care?
Anything really
Many thanks in advance .....

Know a few old boys who are very nice, perhaps surprisingly grounded well rounded sort of people. Not any recent detail on school I am afraid.

There was huge loyalty & friendship amongst the old boys I knew even when they were vastly different characters.

Quite a few seemed to go into the forces. Is it Co-ed now? Think so in 6th.

It's co-ed all the way and they have added pre-school/nursery.
It seems too good on the paper, one is suspicious by nature so one is looking for the 'but'
Thank you for your reply, Cortina, it's nice to know that some of the previous pupils are generally decent and not axe-murderers en masse.

Which Wellington are you talking about? Is it Somerset or Ayrshire?

redwhiteandblue · 12/02/2010 15:00

Do you mean W College or the school in Somerset?

Rollmops · 12/02/2010 15:51

Wellington School in Somerset.

I think cortina might mean the other one, sorry if I'm wrong. That's the school with close links to the forces (no longer though)

Our twins are two years old so not quite thinking about that far yet
Wellington School seems to be a rather lovely place for them to start out.... However, would be great to hear from someone who has first hand experience with the said school.
