What do y3 kids do mathswise?

I'm asking because my children are at French school, but might not always be so I'd like to have an idea. Ds1 is nearly 8 but they're only really just starting on times tables and it all seems a bit basic. French school does start everything later (ie they don't teach reading until Y2), and then I believe catches up by y5 or 6. I'm not worried about it but want to have a feel for what happens in British school.

Thanks in advance

Thanks very useful. It's much more than what my son's class is doing. I may do a bit of it at home with him as he's very competent in maths and his very simple homework seems a bit pointless.
