Anyone elses child got these instead of Magic Tree ??

Dd1 (7) has been given them along with 2 other kids in her class. She asked the teacher why and she said 'because'...helpful eh ??

I haven't seen these \link{http://www.oup.co.uk/oxed/primary/ort/citizenship/citizenship stories} (They are relatively new - published 2002 - and our school doesn't have them yet). They look fantastic: are they good?

Yep thats them. Dd has the Christmas Fair one at the mo.

They are ok, quite long and alot of questions at the end, but a nice change from the magic key ones.

sorry to go off on one again(!) BUT what excuse does the teacher have for responding to your dd with "because". If your child responded in that way to anyone, with a perfectly resonably question, wouldn't you tell her off?

PS not come across those books yet.
