Hi,

Looking for some information on schools in the North east region. Preferably that go from pre-prep through to sixth form and are mixed.

So far, am considering
Teeside High
Barnard Castle School
queen ethelburga's

But only really started looking and open to suggestions.

thanks,

NMTB

Where abouts in the North East?

In Sunderland there's Grindon Hall Christian School, Sunderland High School.

Towards Newcastle you've got Royal Grammar School, Dame Allan's, Westfield,

Anywhere from York upwards and generally in the East direction.

NOt as far as Newcastle... more around the Middlesborough area.

No I didn't go there my parents didn't have that sort of money!!!

Besides at that time the state option was pretty good, it still is compared to where I live now in sunny Surrey!

I went to Barnard Castle school many years ago and loved it. I've just been to their open day this term to take a look for DD, and am really keen for her to go there now.

The best thing about Barny school is that there is a strong sense of pushing each child to achieve in whatever field they wish - it has strong academic results, but sport and music are a huge part of their curriculum too.

Teesside High used to have a reputation for being more academic than other schools, not sure if this is still the case.
