Hi Meggy- I teach in someone elses franchise.
-
As far as I know- you need to attend a training session in London (a day or two) and once you have done that you can start classes.
-
The training is done by sasha felix herself for franchisees (you can then do additional training with her to be able to train your own teachers..but that is extra £££ otherwise if you wnat to employ teachers you have to send them to a day course...these are now taking place all over the country.)
3&4) The amount covers the year only. The first years fee covers training and all the kit you need (props etc inc) and your manuals etc etc. The second years fee is lots lower. This fee is all you need to pay anually. there is no commission. You do however need to buy folders for you babies ~(you can cover the cost of these in your class fees) and need to stock cd's dvd's and jessie cats....but you make a couple of ££ on those for your self. You also have to maintain your props and instruments yourself once you have bought the kit...i.e replace breakages etc.
-
territory is negotiable with sasha felix- you would need to apply and discuss that with her. She will always consult exsisting franchisees (if there are any in your area) to make sure they are happy with the proposed area. Your territory will be entirely protected- that's the point of the fee- Sasha will not allow another sing and sign to start in your area......she can't stop tiny talk though.
-
to see a profit (V small) in the first year you would need to run about 2-3 classes charging about £3.50- 4 per baby. That is as long as your room hire isn't more than about £30 per morning.
I toy with the idea of frachising myslef and doing the other side of the city i live in (which is not in my employers franchise area).
You can download all the figures from the sing and sign website and you can email sasha felix and talk to her. You can also CAT me if you like
