Since May last year my daughter has been unable to go to School due to M.E. We have been trying since then to get my daughter "home tuition" without any success! The L.E.A. will not grant home tuition as they say that they "do not" have enough medical evidence. Our Doctor has written several letters and also given a medical certificate stating that my daughter is "unfit" for School. Still the L.E.A. will not grant home tuition. We now have Social Services involved (our Social Worker is wonderful) who have arranged a meeting after the school holiday with the School and the L.E.A. The School deputy-head says that she is willing for my daughter to have home tuition but a certain L.E.A. will not grant it!!!
What I was wondering is, has anyone else had this same experience? I would be very interested to hear anyone's comments on this matter.
