Can anyone recommend a German teacher in Windsor?

I would like my two sons to have German lessons as they will not be learning at school for another few years.

Can anyone recommend someone in the Windsor area who would be interested in teaching them German?

Perhaps an Au pair/Nanny or a student?

Many thanks!

Windsor Boys School used to have student teachers working in the language department. It might be worth contacting them.

Lakeviewmum - are you me (IYSWIM)? I too would like a German teacher in Windsor for DS (almost 7). I managed to find another mumsnetters Au Pair for a couple of hours a week last summer which was great but desperately need to find someone else.

How about H. M. - I believe she lives in the castle there. Just knock and ask for Liz

I was going to suggest student teachers at the schools aswell.
I've got GCSE German and I'm in Windsor! lol. Would be surprised if I could remember enough for them to learn anything though!
I'm hoping to find someone to teach DS spanish eventually. Bit young at the moment though.

I suspect HMs German might be a bit rusty. Yes, schools must be a good idea.

There are several German Saturday Schools around London. Our children go to the Bayswater branch, but there are others in Islington, Richmond, Ealing and possibly others. Tend to be quite long waiting lists though (at least for the younger ones).

nooki - we got politely rejected from my attempt to join a German Saturday school on the grounds that neither DH or myself are native German speakers. I should add that DS is (was) fluent having spent the first 5.5 of his life in Austria including 3 years at Kindergarten (in German).
