What happens when it gets to the local authority stage?

I feel the school are closing ranks and there's no way, they're going to believe my DS.

Thanks

What has happened?

Have you put your complaint to the HT, in writing if no luck verbally? When you say local authority, do you mean that it has already been escalated beyond HT?

Sorry to be dense

Sorry, its my fault for giving very little info...

I have written to the deputy head and the next stage is the head then the governors, but I'm certain I will not be satisfied with the reply. Because this is about a very offensive word that the TA said to my child, which really is hard to prove and the school are taking the side of the TA

I guess, I want to know if the local authority will send in people independent of the school who will investigate properly

Well you must follow due process, and try not to be too despondent

creole · 10/07/2009 18:52

Hard not to feel too despondent, given how powerful the school is.

But I feel I need to carry on, as this TA is very clever and calculating, so all the staff actually love her, so my case seems hopeless...

So no one in Mumsnet community has ever made a complaint against a teacher?

Really grateful for some advice...
