Taggits - any experience?

Please does anyone have any experience of taggits as an alternative to sewing nametapes? If so, are they secure and can they be cut off when the piece of clothing is outgrown and if so do they leave a hole or cause any damage?

I am hoping they are the answer to my name tape sewing nightmares but they seem too good to be true, just wondering what the catch is.

Are they easy to get off again? (just wondering about unscrupulous people removing them in school!)

Definitely easier and quicker than sewing, I wouldn't use anything else now.

Thanks for that. I think I heard about them via MN but am just was suspicious (for the same reason as EPPM). Any other views?

any label can be removed by unscrupulous people. Even if you write on the size/washing label it can be cut off.

Just get a Laundry Pen from mothercare and write the surname and phone number in each garment, never comes off, even with washing.

eg: SMITH 0171 223 1877

So then it does not matter which child wears it as it gets passed down as (generally) the surname is the same.

If they loose it at school they can be easily tracked down and if lost outside school some nice person might just call you!

Taggits - too fiddly, sew on - takes too long, iron name tapes - fall off in the wash. So they are ALL PANTS.
