Can anyone fill me in on what I should expect from the Extended Schools iniative? I was under the impression that at some time in the not too distant future all primary schools needed to set up some sort of after school and holiday care, or at least have an arrangement with a local provider. My ds's school has a before and after school club which I am grateful for because I know quite a few colleagues who don't have this service however there is no holiday club. I'm having to send him to a holiday club some distance away at which he'll probably know nobody. I'm not particularly happy about this but it seems the best we can do right now.
