Hello.

We both posted on an ed topic a couple of weeks ago and you recommended "headsprout" for children with literacy difficulties.

I signed up for the 3 free episodes and my ds1 (5) loved it so we bought it (cant afford it, but nevermind!)

He LOVES it. We have only been doing it for 2 weeks and he has done 18 episodes already -he actually ASKS to do it!!!!! A couple of months ago he was so reading phobic I thought he might be dyslexic!

He came home from school today and has been moved up to stage 4 reading books and I am thrilled.

things are a bit complicated esp this week. dd2, dh and I all had gastroflu. dd2 still not well since saturday - she doesn't bounce back as quickly as dd1 always does.

then I developed a knee complaint on tuesday which I have been putting down to arthritis (age) and could not sleep tues night or get out of bed on wed. the limping around on wed threw my (still suffering from SPD hips) out so was immensely painful.

saw the GP yesterday and he has referred me for a scan ASAP as he thinks there is a cyst in my knee which will need an operation to remove. how the f*ck will I cope with 2 young children and a knee op?

oh I glaze over reading so much about weaning and waking babies. cosleeping diehard doesn't understand...

hey ho, the sun is shining! it is warm even in co durham so will make the most of it.

i have just been nosying on your profile. where in the east midlands are you? I am going ot the ABM conference in Leicester on the 20/6. (trying to get you to come along.)
