What does your school do in terms of visits to the school before the end of the term?

Does anyone visit your child at their childcare setting?

This question is aimed more at people whos child doesn't go to the attached nursery, but i'd be interested to hear any story .

My children all went to the attatched nursery ... but anyway ...

There were 3 visits prior to the start, playing in the classrooms, meeting teachers and taking in a playtime.

But they were there quite often anyway, joined in assemblies etc. Every school is different though, best just to ask.

If they go to the nursery attached the usually start visiting from about now once a week for a little play and sometimes sitting at the desks. Usually very informal just making it a familiar environment to them.
If they don't attend nursery then usually in the summer term they will invite the kids to visit the school and play together again just to relax them.

Some schools don't do much at all but their is usually at least one visit to met teacher and sometimes other classmates. I would call the school and ask as each has their own procedure. Maybe check if they have a school website that might say.

Depends on the school i think. No one from my daughters school visited her (but then again my mum teaches at the school she attends and she has been known in the school from the day she was born and she was the only child going to the school from her nursery). She did get a couple of afternoons at the school to meet the other p1. Other children at nursery had visits from their primary schools though.
