extra time for KS2 SATs?

Anyone around at this late hour to give me a quick reply?
I was told that DS's school had got concession of extra time for him, as AS and dyspraxia make his writing speed about 3 words a minute (let alone the processing speed!)
He says he had no extra time today. What do I do?

Get onto the Head/SenCo asap. That's not good enough. Ask them what they're going to do about it, and why it happened. Be polite, but annoyingly persistent. If unhappy with their response, ring Children's Services at your LA and ask to speak to Area SenCo.

Many thanks for support, Hassled (just how I feel tonight!!)
I will be on the polite warpath tomorrow morning - I always worry that my response is excessive; but I did feel it was justified when he said he hadn't had time to do his writing today.
And he's trying so hard not to get stressed this week, bless him!

Unless it was a writing test he should have been provided with someone to transcribe his answers for him so he may not have needed extra time. If he was writing himself the staff may have decided he needed a break from it and will let him continue it sometime during the week. There are 2 writing tasks, the long writing and the short writing so if they were doing the long write he would almost certainly have needed a break from it. The staff should have reassured him that he would be given time to continue with it though!
