I have 1 school jumper
1 cheap cardigan in school colours as a back-up to jumper without the cost of jumper
2-3 skrts/trousers
3 white polo tops (cos they come in packs of 3)

2 pairs of trousers and 2 sweatshirts/jumpers. That is assuming that you do a coloured wash regularly. 5 shirts in case you are like me and only do a whites wash once a week. 6/7 pairs of socks because they get lost. 2 of all the PE kit for the same reason.

I find its the jumpers you need more of as it is the outer layer and gets the dirtyest, yougurt, paint, chocolate etc, whereas the shirt is covered so doesn't get as dirty. But summer term lesss likely to be wearing a jumper I suppose.

For shirts I found its the cuffs that get manky so I get short sleave ones now for all year.
