Help! Metaphor and simile in Wordsworth -Y5 homework

DS came home with this and he has to hi-light the metaphors in one colour, similies in another.

We got as metaphors:
'phantom of delight'
'lovely apparition'
'a dancing shape, an image gay'
'a spirit,'
'A traveller'
'a spirit'

Similies:
'eyes as stars....'
'like twilight's too, her dusky hair'

Now, I have an English A level but buggered if I can see any more! And we did simile and metaphor in Y8 at grammar school!

Yes, I thought so too! I mean it comes under a heading of appreciating 'older writing' which is fair enough but expecting 9 year olds to find metaphors in such relatively complex writing is going it a bit!!

Crikey - v. heavy going for year 5 I think unless they've done a serious bit of discussion in class. Even so, I can think of more appropriate choices for y5 under the umbrella of older literature.
