I've just found out that DS1 has been allocated a place at our 1st choice school. No more worrying!

All I have to do now is get my head round the fact that my Precious First Born is old enough to start school...

I have to admit to a few tears with the reality of him starting school. What on earth am I going to be like on the actual day???

I'm glad we got the place because it means 99% of the worry of DS2s school place is taken away.

Hope all you other parents of 4 year olds get the school you want too

Hi, DD starts school in September. I am really excited. I have been a hands on full-time Mum/Mum to be for 9 years and I'm looking forward to a few hours a day to do what suits me.

We will be tidier and cleaner and I might even start baking! The gym will be calling, I might even go on a college course. I'm going to do some gardening, maybe some decorating all without being interrupted every 5 minutes.

I know several other Mums all with their 2nd/3rd child starting school and aim to get together to do things with them. Maybe walks/keep fit etc.

I have started to sell on Ebay and I would like to do more of that so will have more free time to do that too.

Oooh! I managed to do some baking today! Nigella's banana bread - delicious!

This is the oldest zombie thread I've ever seen on Mumsnet. Nearly 20 years old!

LOLOL - that little PFB who's too young to start school...? He's 6'2", nearly 24 and made the roast potatoes for Christmas dinner this year 😂😂

Ha ha! I was around during this period and posted on this thread.
Our 23 year old DS is 6ft 3 and working in London!

Where did our babies go??

SoupDragon · 29/12/2022 13:14

I think they're still inside those grown men somewhere 🙂

His baby brother (who rampaged through the primary school like a small whirlwind) has also graduated and is working in London 😂😂
