my dc1 loved this, great idea. competing to add up with children from USa, cananda, Thailand, GB, Nigerial, The Netherlands. She also had great time choosing her haircolour and eyecolour and accessories for her 'atavar' (/?)

Hi, we're doing it too. DS is having more fun with his 'look' than the maths though.

My dd's school did this last year and she loved it. They aren't doing it this year but we signed her up again anyway so she can play here at home. It's good for her maths, which is not her best subject, and she enjoys it, just wish the site was open all year round for practise rather than just the month or so prior to World maths day then a couple of weeks after.

Yes, I think World Maths Day is today, my ds is also enjoying creating his appearance, but he won't do the sums ..... so I have just been asking him mental maths questions.

ds has been doing it. dd beat a secondary school pupil ! Last year it went on way beyond the designated day.

what is it and what age is it for? Ds is doing a maths competition tomorrow, but I think that's different.

It is on the internet - schools subscribe and kids take part in mental arithmetic games against other children in other schools/countries
