Standing for governor - actively ask people to vote for you or let things happen as they happen?

What would you do? Is it embarrassing to walk up to people you don't know that well and ask them for votes?

What about just telling people you are standing? (if you're not keen on saying pls vote for me)

I see what you mean, but if it's people who I normally just say hello to it would seem odd to walk up to them and say "guess what I'm standing for governor" unless adding #"please vote for me"

best way to get elected
good luck

Can you ask other people to ask their friends to vote for you ? At our election if I was talking to people I would tell them about person X standing and that I thought they would be good/were very keen to be a governor etc.

Are you sure there's going to be an election? There usually isn't!

I just told people I normally talked to, and then if I knew them particularly well asked them to mention it to their friends.
