St John's College School, Cambridge - Any views?

My 3 have been offered places for September. I love the look of the school and have ben very impressed with the head. Two of my children aren't hugely academic though and I would greatly appreciate any reassurance.

I've heard from parents and ex-teachers that it is a very good school. My DS knew some boys who had been there and then went on to the Perse and these boys never spoke badly of the school.
Perhaps you should post on the Mumsnet Local Cambridge messages as there was some discussion there on local independent schools
recently.

Don't know if you'll see this - but a friend's children are there, and they are extremely happy, confident, nice children. It's particularly striking as they're in a situation which might possibly have led to them being bullied in another school. I've also been in for visits to some of the staff and pupils as part of my work, and have always been very impressed by the atmosphere - I've found it supportive without being in the least bit pushy, and the children have been lovely with each other.
