Does anyone know when the'free pre-school for 2yr olds' comes into force???

I have tried googling but can seem to find anything. i head about it on the news but didn't catch when the government where due to start it. Basically it is the same as the paid preschool they get from from 3 just brought forward to 2yrs old.

Anyone help???

Have just found this: "20,000 two year olds from disadvantaged families will receive free childcare, building on the current childcare offer to all three and four year olds;" on this site
but as far as I can see it dos not give a date, and will not be for all 2yr olds. HTH

I think some already do via Surestart and children's centre. The increase to 15 funded hours for all 3 and 4 yr olds next year will take priority so you could eb waiting a while yet.
