DS1 6 - moderate dyslexia just diagnosed - what next?

I knew there was something and he had a test at school with the SENCO. Question is, what do we do next? His teacher spends lots of extra time with him, and he has seperate sessions with 2 other boys with a classroom assistant, he also has termly targets with an IEP. We do stuff at home, but it all seems a bit cobbled together. Private lessons at £35 per week/taking him out of school seems extreme, he loves school and is very enthusiastic.

Any ideas from Mums of other with this issue?

not sure if I can help.. ds2 is 10 has reading age of 6.2 spelling age of 6 .. yet verbal reasoning and vocab of 13.2

he has an IEP and SA+ we hoping he'll get a statement.

we play lots of memory games.. lots of praise and love and hands on learning..
