It sounds absolutely crap - but in reality it probably isn't that bad. I don't expect they will forcing them to learn times tables etc. More like recognising letters and numbers, songs and stories etc. I wouldn't expect your dd would find it much different from the normal nursery.

As Portofino said, it won't be that bad. They have been given government initiaties to meet and they have to do so or they'll lose any funding but in reality it won't be very different to her usual nursery.

She'll be fine

That's mental.

It reminds me of my FIL's evening art class. It's local authority funded and as one of the conditions, he has to fill in forms setting out his "learning objectives" for the term. If he writes "to have fun", he gets it returned to write some "proper" objectives.

God forbid that anyone should just have fun for a couple of weeks

On the bright side, I'm sure they will make sure the 3 and 4 year olds have fun, but it's mad that they have to have a curriculum for a holiday camp.

I do understand your concern but I honestly don't think they notice at that age. It will be a different place/different staff/different kids. She might therefore be happy with a bit of continuity with activities. As long as she enjoys herself, I don't think it should be a problem. She won't really understand the concept of "holidays" yet anyway.

If she was school age and having to do "educational" things in the holidays, I'd be more upset.

I think you are over reacting, it will be learning through play anyway at that age.
