Is there a maximum class size in KS2?

I've found out today that there's 37 children in dd1's class, with one teacher and one TA. The class is unusual, in that it covers the whole of the juniors ie yr 3 - yr 6, but that really sounds like a lot to me.

No there isn't a maximum. The government only implemented a maximum of 30 in KS1.

I teach and I can confirm that the class size is only limited in KS2 by square feet in the classroom!

This doesn't apply for trips/visits etc where I think the ratio is 1:8???
