DD (who is 11yrs old) needs to find out information on how to solve third world debt problem. Can anyone out there point us to a website explaining it in children's terms?

my 10 yo has just done an assembly about this , and G8 summit. He is asleep now so can't quiz him about the work he has done on it. I know they were on about drawing a 'buddy' and sending it in an envelope somewhere(?!). It was a lot to do with comic relief- do they not have a website?

Yes, I agree, Newsround is great. Over the last couple of years we have occasionally wondered how they would deal sensitively with the hot news topic of the day, and we've always been impressed with the tone. We are quite protective in this area, and have never had a problem with the line NR has taken on a a story, or the content of their reports. (Both started watching regularly aged just 5 btw).
