My 8 year old has astounded me!

I have just been to a school concert and it was wonderful. The kids had bags of talent, enthusiasm and confidence and everyone had a wonderful time.

Now this is the thing, on the way home dd started to sing and hells teath, the girl can sing! Sorry if I come across like so sort of pushy mum, but I am utterly gobsmacked! I don't know if I should be with pride or for being a bad mummy that didn't realise!

I'm bloody flabergasted. I had no idea!

She is, but isn't in the choir. Her teacher had mentioned that she was good but tbh I didn't take much notice.

I realise that I must seem like a total idiot but I am simply amazed!

Aw bless, did you cry?

We had a similar thing with ds2 at Christmas - I was asked if he could sing a solo in the Carol concert as 'he has a lovely little voice' - I had no idea!

It must be 8 year olds!
