Would like to hear any opinions please
We are thinking of registering ds and moving to teddington. Would love to hear from any mums who have or who have had kids there.
Or is the Mall a better option?

We have heard that Newland House is slightly softer than The Mall. DS going next sept so interested to see response.

When you say softer what do you mean exactly?
What made you choose newland? I like the idea of coed. Was thinking of registering for both to keep my options open.

We choose as we like co-ed, felt it was a little less pushy but not saying that as a negative for The Mall at all. It was a difficult decision and still not totally confirmed as DS is going to sit for The Mall too in Jan so we will finally decide then. Nothing like sitting on the fence. Also loved the really high music level at Newland and felt the pastoral care is excellent.
How old is your DS?. I know Newland is very full for pre-prep

I like the music thing at Newland too. Want a good all round education for him. But he's only six months old - I like to be organised! So hard to tell when they are so little what school will suit them four years down the line.
Newland have told me there is space for 2012.
Sorry to pick your brains here but what nurserys would you recommend? I want a few mornings a week from two and a half. Keen on Montessori. Any advice would be great thanks!

Not sure about the nursery thing as we moved into the area recently. Makes sense about space in 2012, it seems normal to have children down really early there. Register then don't worry about it!

My DS (6) is at Newland House and DD will follow. DS loves it and I couldn't be happier with the school.
We chose it because it is co-ed (something you might want to consider if you're planning more dcs). The Mall is apparently very good for boys as the teaching is focussed on addressing the learning styles/needs of boys. My personal preference is a co-ed pre-prep as I like the idea of a mixed social/learning setting.
We were also impressed with Newland's reputation as an excellent 'all round' school, which it is proving to be.

If you have any specific questions, do ask but I would whole-heartedly recommend the school. Teddington too is lovely.

p.s. There is a very popular Montessori on Broom Road in Teddington, called the Pavillion I think (??). I know a number of Newland House children that were there and very happy, though don't have experience of it myself.
