York Minster School, anyone?

We are going to look round this school soon, but I was wondering if anyone has any first- (or second-!) hand experience of it? 6-y-o DS is weirdly bright and very musical; 4-y-o DD is keen on her friends and having tea parties for her animals, so I would like a school that suits them both!!
Any insider info would be very gratefully receieved...

I have second/third hand experience of it...

The children I know who go there are extremely polite, bright and extraordinarily musical. I know of children who have gone to YMS and then won very valuable musical scholarships/bursaries to go to top independent secondaries in York.

Thank you roisin! That sounds like a very nice combination (any school that could convince my son to be polite at home would surely deserve some kind of kite-mark). A scholarship wouldn't go amiss either, if we are to be saved from home education at 11/13-plus!!
