KS2 SATS with SEN (Asperger's /ADHD)

Could anyone give me any idea of what i can try and get in place for my son's SAT's in may?

i understand that extra time can be allowed,a scribe can assist with his recording etc

he is NOT statemented- is at school action plus- writes @ age 5yr level (all words join together- no gaps-all letters spaced at same distance...very hard to read)

After sitting till 3am this morning writing to school about Tom's sats.....& having spent 45 minutes talking to the HEad on monday..... i have just had a call from the SENCO telling me that a meeting is arranged for me on the 25th May with the ED Psych/SENCO's from this and the secondary school.... now i was so shocked that i allowed her to say i 'fret too much' and didn't think to ask whether he is being opbserved by the ED Psych prior to this so she can suggest strategies for transition .....and then i suddenly thought....WHEN ARE THE SATS..... as i reckon they are before that..... I'm posting this on the ED threads too as i want POPSYCAL to know too!!! She has been a star!!! I basically pasted her thoughts on SATS etc into my letter- then removed some bits- reworded others...and WOW! It's made the SENCO phone me!

The SATs are what ever week has the 11th May in it (my birthday lol) - so I think it is the week begining 9th May this year??

So glad the SENCO rang you! The meeting sounds very positive - I hope the letter about SATs works though....

give me a shout if you need anymore facts/advice/opinions/garbled hormonal rantings from me......
