My son has the option of going to an independent boys school (at 11+ ie into year 7) that is currently going co-ed. Girls were admitted in Year 3 this academic year and we've just heard that the next 11+ intake in 2006 will be mixed. This will mean that if he goes to this school his year group will be the last intake that is all-boys. I can't decide if this is a positive or a negative! What do others think? Will it make his year seem odd - the last of a dying breed? Or will it enrich his experience?
