OK here goes
We are moving these are the options
Dd starts year 1 in september i have places for her at 2 different schools in two different locations
Option 1, small fantastic school in amazing grounds, only 26 per class only one class per year group, but its only an infants so she would need to change at year 3 the feeder school is not a very good school only a grade 3 on ofsted and results not that good, on the lower side of average. This is in a village in kent which is great and only 20mins for dh to get to work.
Option 2, Good school dd will be able to stay until senior school in a smaller town in kent dh will be able to get to work in 40 mins
The main dilema is that we were planning to move to York in 2 years anyway but what if we dont, ds will also start reception in 2 years so he will have to be at a different school if i choose the smaller one.
What would you do?

I would visit both schools, with my DS, and see which one I prefer the feel of and which one e prefers and take it from there.

I'd go with 1 and review as and when. Convenience at being near work and a good school. Presumably you're renting so could move if you decide to stay longer term when you have sussed out the areas better and at Year 3 you'd have more choice anyway as could apply with everyone else and classes expand.

we have done this and still cant decide we like the smaller one best but its just the dilema of having to move at year 3 into a school we arent totally happy with, that is the reason we are moving now as we hate the school
