Reddam House or Holme Grange

Anyone in Berkshire have any experience with these schools? We are looking at both for our children to start year 3 and reception next year, both seem lovely but we don’t know anyone with genuine parent reviews of them. Can Mumsnet help?! Thanks

I know a couple of people who have their kids at Reddam and both very pleased with it.

Might be worth asking on a local Facebook group though for feedback as you’ll likely get more responses than on here :)

Both are over the Wokingham way aren't they, so the drive might be similar depending where you are. Worth doing a normal weekday visit at each if you can, mornings feel different to the open day vibe. I'd ask about Rec and Y3 class sizes, wraparound, and how the younger years sit with the older ones day to day (Reddam goes all the way through, Holme Grange is nursery/pre-prep into senior on one site).

Also worth a quick skim of the latest ISI write-ups rather than older hearsay, Reddam's Dec 2025 one and Holme Grange's March 2026 progress monitoring. Local Facebook groups often have more current parent chatter than MN for this sort of thing.
