So, the Bexley 11+ test results are out on Friday- super early this year! Another one of many Bexley surprises thrown at us this year. Good luck to everyone 🤞

I was so surprised to get the email yesterday! Trust Mumsnet to already know!!! How did your dc do?

Spiderhead84 · 03/10/2026 18:47

I was at work and even though I was expecting the results between 4-6pm the fact it actually dropped into my inbox dead on 4pm still caught me off guard! Thankfully my DD was successful she scored 223. She was so sure she had failed as she found the maths section hard.

How did your DC get on? Hoping it was good news.

My dd did better than we expected and ended up with 240, she’s late August DOB so would’ve benefited from the age standardisation. We’re in Kent so it won’t be enough, but we’re still really happy and we’re scrambling now to look at TOGS as dd may have a good chance to get in there if the Kent test went just as well for her.

I’m curious what the different section scores were. In the email all I got was her age standardised score. Status: selective and that she was not one of the Top 180 who scored 244 or more.

Sadly that’s all you get. If you ask, they say they can’t tell you. I’d love to know too, as we weren’t sure if DS would pass, but he got 233. I think he must have got full marks in maths to make up for comprehension!

It’s super annoying not knowing the breakdown. I suspect my daughter’s overall score was raised due to the 50% weighting in English verbal, which probably made up for the maths section.

@JustCallMeFrank Not sure where about you are in Kent but we’re in West Dartford and within catchment for Townley Grammar- this could be an option on your CAF form?

My daughter would love to go to Chis and Sid but the catchment distance fluctuates every year and we wouldn’t have got in last year. If she does well in Kent Dartford Grammar will probably be a safer bet for us.

@Spiderhead84 we’re in West Malling, but grew up in SE London with lots of family and friends still there so there’s options for us to take her into school as part of our morning commute and pick her up from family on the way back out.

And good luck for the Kent Test! My dd found the Bexley test hardest of 3 she took, so your dd passing it is a good sign!!!

Did you also do Medway and consider RGS?

Spiderhead84 · 06/10/2026 13:37

Yes we did Medway and also Newstead Woods- it seems a long wait now that Bexley results have come out. I can’t wait for it all to be over then I can get my life back lol!
