I visited the school today and loved it. Very progressive/non conventional.
I'm looking for a friendly, inclusive environment which this school felt.
Any thoughts?

Hi there.

I have not visited for a while but it is a lovely location. They have great facilities and strong with the arts. However, if they are classically sporty I think unlikely for them.

It’s great that they are inclusive but I have heard they are taking on quite a few children who have more severe SEND requirements - which is absolutely fine but a question I’d be exploring is how all children can be stretched. This is news from others not directly though.

Their old Head was great and had good reviews. I haven’t heard much about this one. But no news is good news, I would assume?

I hope that helps. Always used to think that school was very good for those it served but with the pressure on private schools I’d personally be checking not catering for too many and serving none.

Good luck, but the main thing is if you like it go with it!

my kids attend FH and I highly recommend to parents seeking education that feels “future fit.”

We’ve been at the school since reception and Y3 (currently Y8 and Y11) and the school has been going from strength to strength since the new head started a couple years ago.

The school is best for high agency kids/families that want an alternative to “one size fits all” education provision.

kids with drive do especially well, and that’s not limited to just academics.

its not a sporty school though so if that’s important it may not be a the best fit.

feel free to DM me ☺️
