Hi everyone, lovely to meet you! I’m a mum of two boys, and my eldest has just started Year 4.
I’m very passionate about education (I am an academic at Russel group university) and I’ve been supporting my son with his learning and 11+ preparation for the past couple of years. However, I’ve realised that the parent–child dynamic can make teaching your own child quite challenging, so I think it’s time for us to find the right teacher to support him.
I’m specifically looking for an excellent English teacher with substantial experience preparing children for the 11+, particularly someone who is very strong in reading comprehension, exam technique, timing and building confidence.
Ideally, I would love to find a qualified teacher who has successfully prepared children for highly selective grammar schools such as Tiffin, Sutton Grammar, Wilson’s or Wallington, and who really understands what these exams require.
