Moving from Grammar school to Comprehensive

Has anyone made the decision to move their DS or DD from a grammar school to a comprehensive school? If yes, why? and how has this decision played out? I am considering this due to a relocation to a cheaper borough as i work remotely. I can tough it out as I have been financially but just thinking it might be overall beneficial to move

As above, what year is your DC in? Also, how are they doing at school? Are they really happy with good friends? What are the comps like?

Very dependent on the year your child is in school and also on the specific schools in question.

some comps are great some are not.

By a different borough, how far are you actually intending to move? Would it be totally impossible for your DC to travel to their current school?
