Any tips for starting A levels at a new grammar school?

Any tips for starting A levels from parents and students who have recently been there?

DD is just starting Alevels at a new grammar school as she didn't enjoy the last school (poor management and friendship issues). She did well in her GCSEs (mostly 8s and 9s). She is doing two sciences and a humanity. Any tips for starting out with A levels? Buy as many text books as possible?

My DD’s friend started at a new school for A levels. I wouldn’t worry about buying books. They’ll tell you what you need though I doubt you have to buy many.
the most important thing is helping her navigate a new environment, new teachers, friends and expectations.
