Has anyone used an AI tutor for GCSE maths revision?

Has anyone’s child used an AI tutor for GCSE maths? Things like Seneca, Third Space, Knowunity or Astra.

My child is looking at different options and I’m wondering whether any of them are actually useful.

Which one does your child use? What do they like/dislike about it, and has it actually helped with maths/revision?

Would be really interested to hear from anyone whose child has tried one.

We used savemyexams and my son secured 6,7,8s. Super happy especially as we were worried about RS(he got a 7) and sciences (all 7s). He also got a 7 In maths. We really liked the instant feedback for exam questions and how to improve them.

I would have a look at who they are aimed at. Third space seems to be aimed at teachers and schools not pupils according to Google.
At the moment AI isn’t good at maths generally. It gets things wrong pretty regularly when I use it. Seneca looks like it is an adaptive learning platform with an AI tutor bot which would be better I believe than just relying on AI.

I presume your school doesn’t offer anything. My DCs school uses Dr Frost and that seems very good. Lots of tests & videos to help you on each area. School gave them a RAG list based on the curriculum statements after mocks so they could focus on their weaker areas (Red on the list).

I know you mentioned AI, but maybe have a look into having an older student who has passed their GCSE to help your son with revision. It could be less intimidating than a teacher and maybe more enjoyable.

savemyexams and physicsandmathstutor are the sites my daughter used, but the most helpful was YouTube and watching videos that explained the Maths concepts. She got a 7. Which exam board is your son doing?
