Just wondering if anyone could recommend a good boarding school for my youngest.
We have decided to send him as term time boarder, back for holidays

Isn't that a bit, err.....young???

wordgirl · 27/06/2008 09:35

Yeah right

ladymariner · 27/06/2008 09:35

Pleased to see I'm not alone in this, sleepycat!!!!

poshtottie · 27/06/2008 09:36

I'm not sure they can board that young. Some of the children I have looked after have boarded weekly at 7 years old.

poshtottie · 27/06/2008 09:36

Is this a wind up?

wannaBe · 27/06/2008 09:36

why?

Why in the name of God do you want to send a 5 year old to boarding school? as a term boarder?

Litchick · 27/06/2008 09:37

Trippety trap

OverMyDeadBody · 27/06/2008 09:37

That is too young! I hope you are joking, or there are extenuating circumstances that have resulted in this decision.

partaria · 27/06/2008 09:38

johnso get back to your classroom with the rest of the year nines and away from that internet cafe.

Common ladies, she asked for recommendations, not judgements!!

Sorry Johnso, I don't know any...have you tried the good school guide?

geekgirl · 27/06/2008 09:39

triptrap

OverMyDeadBody · 27/06/2008 09:39

I've heard the Bridge Preparatory School is good

wannaBe · 27/06/2008 09:39

it's not a first time poster though.

wannaBe · 27/06/2008 09:40

and as someone who went to boarding school at the age of 5 I think I am well within my rights to judge.

EffiePerine · 27/06/2008 09:40

well her other threads have been similarly... contentious

eenybeeny · 27/06/2008 09:41

johnso do you never have anything better to do? As soon as I saw your name on the OP I knew it was crap.

eenybeeny · 27/06/2008 09:42

no johnso is not a first time poster but every post he/she starts is meant to deliberately wind people up.

Creole · 27/06/2008 09:42

And she is well within her rights to do what she feel is best for her DC.

I'm not a fan of B schools, but I won't judge people and their decisions....

Creole · 27/06/2008 09:43

so its someone taking the piss? if so, that is a bit sad...

eenybeeny · 27/06/2008 09:43

ooh ooh ooh can I judge? Please can I judge?

nkf · 27/06/2008 09:43

I think you've left it a bit late. You should have sent him a few years ago.
