Has the 11+ English test structure changed in Sutton, Surrey?

Just wanted to know if the 11+ structure has changed?
My daughter did a familiarisation test today (Sutton, Surrey) and whilst the maths exam was as expected (45mins and 45 questions), the English one was quite different (40mins and 62 questions).

  • Two non-fiction texts not one
  • Structure of exam (spelling, punctuation, comp 1, comp 2, comparison of comps, gap filling/missing words section, another section (daughter couldn’t remember) and another comprehension section.

Any grammar school teachers/admissions officers on here who can help?

Thanks BeSereneRubyShark! It’s really helpful to know this about the English test and I will ask the school about structure.
My daughter will be thankful for your encouragement too.

Please look at the school websites, especially the FAQ. It does explain the exam structure there.

The ptfa tests cater to a variety of 11+ exams so are not necessarily in the SET format.

Thanks Sportie7 - I’ve revisited now so feel a lot clearer. We are using Atom as a supplement but I hadn’t come across mock tests with two texts, comparison and alternative structures.
