Shortlands secondary schools

Hi,
My family and I are looking to move to Shortlands but have no experience of schools in the area. Does anyone have any experience of living in Shortlands and the local secondary schools?
Would be interested to know where your children went catchment wise and how they found it!
We know Langley girls and boys and Hayes have great reputations, but think we’d be out of catchment for these.

Thanks so much

Ravens Wood (boys) is another possibility.

If your children are academic they could quite easily commute to a selection of grammar schools from Shortlands. The two in Bromley Borough are highly selective, as are those in Tonbridge, but Bexley has a good selection. Distances range from around 20 mins on the bus to Bexley to around an hour via two trains to Tonbridge, or a bit quicker and one train to the Weald of Kent and Tunbridge Wells Boys' Grammar "annexes" in Sevenoaks, although I'm not sure if you can choose that your child goes to the Sevenoaks annexe - I believe the school decides.

How old are your children?
