My child is about to start year six so we will be looking at secondary schools for 2027 entry. We are on the east Croydon nearish to Bromley border so the closest schools to us are Oasis Shirley Park, Shirley High, Orchard Park, Ark Oval and at a slight read, Harris South Norwood. I think Oasis Arena is near too, so we have a bit of choice and I was wondering if anyone had any experience of the schools they’d be willing to share?
for context my child likes a bit of music (takes drum lessons), plays cricket, seems to do well at school but rushes / gets distracted and I feel that some gentle pushing would do some good or they might drift a bit…
there is potential for private school but tbh I don’t know if they’d even get in (the motivation to do homework is lacking!)
