Moving U.K. to Syd for older teens

We are thinking of repatriating to Aus however my son has expressed real desire to stay in UK for university. Anyone with experience with this? Any experience finishing A levels in UK then moving to university in Sydney, did it feel a bit like a repeat or was it hard to make friends? Thanks!

You could try re-posting in Higher Education thread or if you have the stamina there is a Facebook page called WIWIKAU where you will get responses.
The issues will be related to the loans for uni in the U.K., if you are not uk tax payers you may not be entitled to loans from the student loan co which means paying out uk home fees and accommodation costs from your own income. Re Australia there is the limitations of an Aussie degree if your dc moves back to the UK.

You to have been resident in the UK for three years before going to a university in the UK if you want home fee status and student loans. So moving away now and back for university would not work unless you are really rich and can pay the (hefty) course fees yourselves.
