How accurate is Maths-Whizz compared with school maths assessments?

My DD is using maths whizz and it’s saying her maths age is nearly a year older than she is, but I got it because she’s always telling me she struggles with maths and her assessments from school come back fairly average. The questions on maths whizz seems so easy for her, and they are waaaaay easier than her school work.

The maths age is still her year group to be fair as she’s v young in the year so is that maybe the difference ie it basis maths age on school years so if a child is working at year 4 level they base it on them being born of September that year, but if they’re born in August the maths age would be a year earlier than their age if that makes sense?

So I’m wondering how accurate is maths whizz? She’s being doing it for a few months and I think it’s helped her maths but it’s also increased the maths age and nothing seems to have progressed or got harder. And certainly nothing she does compares to the school work she finds tricky!

I don't know the actual answer, but on the 11+ website (not actually to do with 11+ exam) you can download and print maths tests eg summer year 4 and it'll give you an accurate idea of whether she's at expected standard, below or exceeding. I recently bribed my ds to do one, after a maths game app didn't put him where I was expecting it to.
