Accepting a place at Christchurch School Hampstead after past hoax concerns

Hello everyone, first time poster here. It’s a primary school question. We have been offered a place at Christchurch school in Hampstead. It was our second choice. We were quite surprised as it seems to be great school - ofsted outstanding etc.
Walked past the school today and the children and teachers looked very happy in the playground. However. And I’m not sure how to deal with this. I have since discovered that the school was involved in a horrible hoax a few years back where some parents and lots of others were accused of running a satanic cult which harmed children- there is even a channel 4 documentary and podcast about it which I have not watched/listed to.
Im now feeling weird about accepting the place even though I know the abuse was all made up.
I wondered if anyone has children at the school who could let me know what you think about it? I really don’t want this to sway my decision as it’s so unfair to the school who have done nothing wrong!

I don't think that you should take the hoax story into account; if the school is what you are looking for, snap the place up.

I can’t talk about the school currently but I was working in the area at the time of the hoax and knew the family that was involved with it. Please don’t pay any attention to this or let it sway your decision. Christchurch has consistently had an excellent reputation in Camden and some of the best results. Congratulations on getting a place there.

Thank you for your reasonable responses. You are right. It’s so unfortunate how this kind of thing tarnishes innocent people/ organisations for years to come!
